Burdekin BMX Club was formed in 1984 with the help of the APEX Club.  Our track is located in Kennedy Street, Ayr.  Situated 1 hour south of Townsville, Ayr is in the heart of the Burdekin cane cutting country.

We hold 2 local carnivals a year and riders including their families from all over the state are invited to attend.  Camping is available with toilets and showers.  The canteen is very popular with everyone for dinner and breakfast on Sunday on 2 day Carnivals.  Our green, well kept lawns, big shady trees, excellent canteen and facilities makes racing and watching always a well worth trip to Ayr.

Burdekin BMX races every Sunday (except school holidays).  During winter, race time is 4.00pm with registration between 3.00pm – 3.30pm.  In summer, the race time changes to 5.00pm with registration between 4.00pm – 4.30pm.  Racing consists of 3 motos, break, 3 motos.  There is a $5.00 nomination fee for club racing.

All riders must be licensed with BMX Australia Inc.
