If you like riding bikes and having fun, then you need to come see us at the Rockhampton BMX Club. We have members of all ages, starting from as young as 2 years and right up to mature age riders. This is not only for the boys, the girls are keen riders too!

What you need to get started

You'll need a bike, any BMX bike is acceptable, it doesn't need to be fancy. You'll need a full face helmet, a long sleeve shirt and long pants, socks and shoes, and finally some gloves to protect your fingers and hands.

Additionally, the club has a bank of bikes and helmets for limited loan by new riders, which can assist potential new members in trying the sport without this upfront outlay.

How much does it cost?

Membership and license costs can be found by visiting the BMX Australia website, all licencing is completed and paid online so you can get this bit done before you come to the track, or you might like to come along to the track to check it out and have a chat with us first. There is an annual $25 Club Levy which is paid directly to the club on the first training/race night.

The Rockhampton Club hosts at least one Open Day, the "Rocky Rumble" each year. Riders from clubs throughout Queensland attend these events. Our riders also travel to other club Open Days and Title Championships.

BMX is a year round sport, we race most weeks of the school year and break only for school holidays and when the weather interferes with our fun. New members are always welcome to join anytime throughout the year.
